Walk-In Tattoos in Salt Lake City, Utah
Decided today is the day? When an artist has an opening, we take walk-ins — first come, first served. Bring your idea and your ID, and we will get you taken care of.

Walk in, or grab a same-day spot
Walk-ins here are simple: come by the shop at 145 South 400 East in downtown Salt Lake City, tell the front desk what you are thinking, and if one of our artists has time in their day, we will fit you in. Availability changes hour by hour, so the earlier you come in, the better your chances.
Want to skip the guesswork? Our same-day booking page shows today's openings — grab one and the chair is yours when you arrive.

What makes a great walk-in tattoo
The best walk-in pieces are designs that can be drawn, placed, and tattooed in one sitting. These are the requests that fit a walk-in best:
Flash designs — Pre-drawn designs from our artists' flash sheets, ready to go as-is or with a small tweak.
Small and simple custom pieces — A small design of your own: a symbol, a flower, a little animal, a meaningful mark.
Script and lettering — A word, a date, a name, or a short line in a clean hand or fine line style.
Fine line and minimalist pieces — Small, delicate work is the classic same-day tattoo. See our Fine Line page: https://www.themanortattoo.com/fine-line-tattoos-salt-lake-city
First tattoos — Never been tattooed? A small first piece is a perfect walk-in. We will walk you through every step.
Bigger work — sleeves, large custom pieces, cover-ups — deserves a consultation and a booked session so your artist can draw it properly. If that is where your idea lands, we will tell you honestly and get you booked instead.
How walk-ins work here
1. Bring a valid government ID — You must be 18 or older to get tattooed in Utah, no exceptions. A driver's license, state ID, military ID, or passport all work.
2. Bring your idea — A reference photo, a screenshot, or just a clear description. Designs that are ready to go move fastest; simple designs can be drawn on the spot.
3. Check in at the front desk — We will match you with the first available artist, give you an estimate for your piece, and let you know the wait.
4. Get tattooed — Fill out the release form, pick your placement, and sit for your tattoo. Most walk-in pieces take an hour or two.

Walk-in tattoo questions
Do you take walk-ins every day?
We take walk-ins whenever an artist has an opening, and with ten artists there usually is one — but it is first come, first served and never guaranteed. Coming in earlier in the day gives you the best shot, or check the same-day booking page for today's confirmed openings: https://slctattoos.as.me/sameday
How long will I wait for a walk-in tattoo?
It depends on the day and the piece. Small pieces are often seated quickly; busy days can mean a wait or a later same-day slot. The front desk will give you an honest estimate when you check in — and if the wait does not work for you, we can book you a guaranteed time instead.
Can I pick my artist for a walk-in?
Walk-ins go to the first available artist — that is what makes them fast. If your heart is set on a specific artist, book with them directly so their time is reserved for you.
What should I bring?
A valid government-issued ID (you must be 18+), your design or reference images if you have them, and a card or payment method for your deposit and session. Eat before you come in and bring water — you will sit better.
How much does a walk-in tattoo cost?
The same as any tattoo here: it depends on size, placement, and detail. The front desk will give you an estimate before anything starts, so there are no surprises. For an exact price on a bigger or custom idea, send it through our estimate form and an artist will bid on it: https://slctattoo.zapier.app/quote
Can I get a big tattoo as a walk-in?
Large pieces, sleeves, and cover-ups need drawing time and a booked session. If your idea is bigger than a walk-in piece, we will happily set up a consultation and book it properly — the result will be better for it.
How do I take care of a tattoo in Utah's dry climate?
Salt Lake City's dry air and altitude sun are hard on fresh tattoos. Keep your piece moisturized with a thin layer of the aftercare your artist recommends, drink more water than you think you need, and keep it out of direct sun while it heals — Utah sun at 4,300 feet burns faster than you expect. Your artist will send you home with full aftercare instructions.
Where do I park?
We are at 145 South 400 East in downtown Salt Lake City. Street parking is available on 400 East and nearby blocks, and we are a short walk from TRAX if you would rather ride in.
